The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute has chosen the NEB Next Sample Preparation reagents from New England Biolabs for Next Generation Sequencing. 

NEBNext™ DNA Sample Prep Reagent Sets contain enzymes and buffers that are ideally suited for sample preparation for next generation sequencing, and for preparation of expression libraries. Reagents are available for each step of the library construction workflow, including end repair, dA-tailing, adapter ligation and amplification. These sets are highly cost effective and each of the components must pass rigorous quality control and validation, including independent third-party evaluation on all the three  NGS platforms:

• Illumina® GAII,
• Roche/454 GS FLX Titanium™
• Life SOLiD™

Earlier this month had the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, a world leading genome center, also validated the NEB Next reagents for High Throughput Sequencing on the Illumina® GAII platform.
